BMW has launched the updated 7 Series flagship sedan in the Middle East. The updated 2027 BMW 7 Series will soon go on sale in the UAE with new exterior, interior, and powertrain updates. There will also be a fully electric version of the 7 Series called i7, offering more range than ever before.

What is new on the 2027 BMW 7 Series?

New exterior design

The new 7 Series features the brand’s latest Neue Klasse design language with a monolithic appearance. The fascia now packs slim LED headlights, a new illuminated kidney grille, redesigned bumper with air dams for aerodynamic efficiency.

The size of the new 7 Series is identical to the outgoing model, but it now packs new alloy wheels and clean body panels for a streamlined look. The alloy wheels range from 20 to 22 inches, depending on the trim and variant.

Similarly, the rear profile features redesigned LED lights and a cleaner look. Additionally, BMW will also offer the M Performance versions along with the M Sport packages, which offer sporty bumpers and a body kit.

Upgraded interior

The new 7 Series also features a redesigned cabin theme that uses a mix of cloth, Nappa leather, wood, crystal glass, and aluminium highlights. It now packs the trademark BMW Panoramic iDrive screen that runs between the A pillars, displaying all necessary information.

The dashboard features a BMW Passenger Screen, while the Panoramic Display uses the new BMW Operating System X. The rear passengers can opt for the individual BMW Theatre Screen that offers 8K video support, OTT, gaming, and video calls as well.

To enhance the passenger experience, BMW has added new cabin ambient lighting, an illuminated panoramic sunroof with a dimming feature, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system with Dolby Atmos, a four-zone climate control system, passive ADAS safety features, and more. Customers will also be able to choose the optional Comfort Seats and Executive Lounge with reclining rear seats, a massage option, extendable thigh support, champagne glasses, a rear refrigerator, etc.

BMW has also added new technologies to make the cabin smarter in the new 7 Series. These features include: BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with Amazon Alexa+ AI integration, BMW built-in Maps navigation system, and BMW Digital Key Plus.

2027 BMW 7 Series: Engine specifications

On the new 7 Series, BMW has made several improvements in its powertrain options. It will be offered in the Middle East with a 48V mild-hybrid engine, plug-in hybrid engine, and fully electric versions. The EV is called the i7, and it now packs up to 720 km (WLTP-claimed) of range.

BMW has used the new cylindrical battery cells and the new BMW eDrive technology to improve the efficiency of the i7. Moreover, the new i7 now features charging-optimised route planning, adaptive energy recuperation, and intelligent charging features.

Over 500 custom colour options

Another big upgrade on the new BMW 7 Series is the wide array of customisation options. With the BMW Individual customisation options, customers can now choose from 12 upholstery options, 130 exterior colours, and over 500 exterior colour combinations, including the dual-tone options.

Not only that, but the new 7 Series also features the BMW Individual Dual-Finish paintwork. This technique uses a hand-painted metallic upper half, which is done by a 12-stage specialised process done by 20 expert and highly trained employees, taking up to 75 hours to paint the car.

AI-assisted safety features

BMW has also included the new AI-assisted autonomous safety features on the new 7 Series. This includes SAE Level 2 with BMW Symbiotic Drive and AI-assisted parking space detection. The car also offers hands-free driving up to 130 km/h, but only in select European countries.

Other AI-assisted features include tyre condition monitoring and an updated wheel-slip management system.

2027 BMW 7 Series: UAE price and availability

BMW has officially launched the new 7 Series in the UAE through AGMC and Abu Dhabi Motors. The official price list and delivery schedule are yet to be finalised.
