Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe: Everything to know

Battery specs, performance, and charging

First things first. The new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is based on the all-new AMG.EMA platform. It is an 800V architecture, which supports rapid charging up to 600 kW.

However, the talking point is the new oil-cooled 106 kWh battery pack that powers a triple motor setup. The new triple axial flux motors have been made in collaboration with YASA, and these offer a stupendous performance on the GT 63 variant.

The GT 4-Door Coupe is available in two variants: GT 55 and GT 63. The GT 55 offers a maximum WLTP range of 700 km on full charge, while its maximum output is 816 bhp and 1,801 Nm of power and torque.

However, the GT 63 version packs two motors at the rear and one motor at the front, which combined make 1,169 bhp and 2,000 Nm. This helps it propel 0-100 km/h in just 2.1 seconds, beating most supercars in the world. Both variants are rated for a top speed of 300 km/h.

Meanwhile, the 600 kW DC charging helps the GT 4-Door Coupe to be charged 10-80% in just 11 minutes. Mercedes has also packed the car with an active aero package and optional ceramic brakes.

Another interesting add-on is the stimulating V8 soundtrack, which generates a feel of driving a petrol V8 sports car by using the sound system and haptic controls. Users can also feel the fake gearshifts by using the paddle shifters.

Exterior design

On the outside, the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupe boasts a new-generation design. The car gets a low-slung and wider profile with a sculpted bonnet and wide rear haunches.

The front fascia is equipped with a closed illuminated grille that features an illuminated Mercedes logo. This is supported by the wraparound LED headlamps with star-shaped daytime running lights. The front bumper gets vertical air dams on the extreme ends.

The side profile is made up of a swooping roofline, 21-inch forged lightweight AMG rims, and retractable door handles. Meanwhile, the rear design packs a set of triple star-shaped LED taillamps that feature a connected LED stripe over the active spoiler. The rear diffuser improves the aerodynamics, leading to a coefficient of drag of just 0.22 Cd.

Interior and features

On the inside, the GT 4-Door Coupe packs a driver-oriented dashboard with a connected glass panel that packs a 14-inch infotainment screen and a 10.2-inch digital driver display.

Mercedes has also equipped the centre console with the ‘AMG Race Control Unit’, which is essentially a set of three rotary dials that adjust traction, power, and steering response of the car on the go.

Other notable features include the AMG-spec flat-bottom steering wheel, Alcantara leather upholstery with quilted door panels, race pedals, sporty race seats, and a black theme.

In terms of connectivity, it packs a wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, wireless charging with cooling, Brumester sound system, race telemetry, ambient lights, driving modes, and more.

The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe also gets the latest ADAS safety features, including the auto high-beam adjustment, traffic sign recognition, pedestrian safety features, and more.

When will it launch in the UAE?

The new 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is expected to go on sale in the international market by the end of this year. It can launch in the Middle East early next year.
