Petrol price in UAE - How is it decided?

The UAE's government used to subsidise fuel before 2015. The heavy subsidy rates ensured that the petrol prices in the UAE did not fluctuate. However, post-2015, this law was changed & a fuel price committee was set up.

This committee, after analysing the international oil rate market, rolls out new prices monthly. These prices are announced on the last day of the previous month. For example, the petrol prices in October have been announced today, the last day of September.
