2026 Audi Q3 Euro NCAP crash test details

Earlier this year, Audi introduced the new generation of the Q3, which also happens to be the most popular and affordable SUV of the brand worldwide.

The upcoming model, which is expected to launch in the UAE next year, has recently been tested by the European New Car Assessment Program for its safety. However, Euro NCAP tested the Q3 Sportback, which is essentially a sporty version of the standard car.

The new-generation Q3 has scored 5/5 stars in the latest crash tests. In terms of the adult occupant safety, it managed to score 35 (87 per cent) points, while it got 42.5 (86 per cent) points. Moreover, in pedestrian and cyclist safety, it scored 80 per cent or 51 points.

Elaborating further, the new Q3 scored “Excellent” in the frontal offset crash test. During this test, Euro NCAP authorities found the Q3 provided excellent protection for the knees, chest, and femur of the front passengers.

It also scored “Excellent” in the side impact testing. However, the authorities did notice the driver dummy’s pelvis moving beyond the seatbelt during the side barrier test, aka submarining. Otherwise, it has been rated excellent in the side pole impact and barrier tests.

Euro NCAP authorities also assessed the rear headrests for the whiplash effect during a rear-end crash. These were also reported to be excellent, favouring passenger safety.
