Revealing the new-generation Cherokee, Jeep has announced that it will be offered with an all-new 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine with an electric hybrid assist. It is based on the new modular STLA platform.

This engine will work along with the two separate electric motors positioned on each axle. While Jeep is yet to announce the individual details about the power of these motors, the brand says that the new Cherokee offers a total of 213 bhp and 312 Nm of power and torque.

Additionally, the new Cherokee stands tall with the brand’s off-roading image as it gets the Jeep Active Drive 4x4 system. It offers four different traction modes for various driving conditions, including Auto, Sport, Snow, and Mud/Sand.
