2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid: Everything you need to know

The latest generation of RAV4 is now available in Saudi Arabia. Toyota has launched the new-gen RAV4 in hybrid and petrol variants in Saudi Arabia.
The price of the 2026 RAV4 starts at SAR 102,350 (approximately AED 100,000) for the petrol version, while the all-wheel drive version is priced at SAR 108,330 (approximately AED 106,890), and the range-topping RAV4 Hybrid is available at SAR 107,065 (approximately AED 104,850).
With that said, the new-gen RAV4 is based on the same platform as the outgoing version. However, it features a complete design revamp on the outside and inside. The exterior is now inspired by the new-generation Camry, as it features the C-shaped LED DRL and projector headlights.

The overall design of the new RAV4 is sharp and more futuristic. The rear-end features a set of LED taillights that are connected via a black panel with RAV4 lettering on it. The body panels and the bumpers are more streamlined now. Since it is available with FWD and AWD variants, the body cladding and alloy wheel design differ as per the variants, which range from 18-inch to 20-inch.
On the inside, the new-gen RAV4 features a completely new cabin layout with a black theme and soft-touch leather upholstery. Depending on the variants, it comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital driver console (12.3-inch on range-topping variants), and a 12.9-inch infotainment console.

The seats, dashboard, centre console and door panels, everything is new, offering more space for the passengers, and more storage areas. The new RAV4 Hybrid also offers the latest features like panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, dual-zone auto AC, electric tailgate, and more.
Toyota has also upgraded the safety features on the new RAV4 Hybrid. It gets the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite, which offers adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, auto-emergency braking, rear-cross traffic alert, a 360-degree camera, and more autonomous safety features.
What powers the 2026 Toyota RAV4?
The new-gen RAV4 is available in two engine options and two drivetrains. These include a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that makes 170bhp and 203Nm of power and torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. This engine can be opted for with the front-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive option.
Meanwhile, the biggest addition is the all-new 2.5-litre, four-cylinder, HEV or Hybrid engine. This engine offers 230bhp/221Nm on the front-wheel drive variants, and 239bhp/221Nm on the all-wheel drive variants. This engine is paired with an e-CVT gearbox and an E-Four AWD system with Trail Mode.
The claimed fuel economy of the 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is 23.8 km/l, which is best-in-class.
However, Toyota did not introduce the PHEV plug-in hybrid version in Saudi Arabia. It is a new engine that is offered globally, and it has a pure EV range of up to 90km.
When will it launch in the UAE?
The new-gen 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is expected to launch in the UAE in the second half of this year. We suspect that it will be priced around AED 100,000-130,000 in the UAE.
Cars24 UAE says
