What is special about the Ford Expedition 30th Anniversary Edition?
Cosmetic changes
The new 30th Anniversary Appearance Package of the Expedition SUV features a special Blue Ember exterior paint sourced from the Mustang Dark Horse model. The 30th Anniversary Edition is based on the Stealth Appearance Package (Platinum variant), which features the blacked-out trim parts, including the front grille, roof, mirrors, tailgate, and alloys.
This unique exterior paint scheme is in itself a major attraction for buyers globally. Additionally, it features ‘30 Years’ badging on the tailgate and on the alloy wheel hubcaps. The 22-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in all-terrain tyres.
On the inside, it continues to offer a similar outlook to the Platinum variant with the dual-tone Salt Crystal Gray leather upholstery, a 24-inch panoramic screen instrument console, 30 Years badging on the centre console armrest and the door sills, and blue stitching across the cabin.
Mechanically unchanged
Under the bonnet, the Expedition 30th Anniversary features the powerful 3.5-litre, V6, EcoBoost turbo petrol engine, which makes 400 bhp and 651 Nm.
It is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system with drive modes, traction modes, and safety features like the BlueCruise hands-free driving assistant.
When will it launch?
The new Expedition 30th Anniversary Edition is expected to go on sale later this year. It will be positioned top-of-line, and it could be priced around USD 80,000 (AED 293,800 as of today’s currency exchange rate).
