The new Geely EX5 EM-i hybrid is based on the Global Intelligent Electric architecture of Geely that has been designed to support ICE, PHEV, and EV powertrains. The brand claims that the EX5 offers ultimate performance and a thermal efficiency of up to 46.5 percent.
The EX5 EM-i belongs to the mid-size crossover SUV segment. It features a subtle design with sleek LED headlights, chiselled body panels, and a set of connected LED taillights that look like a Porsche Macan.
The EM-i in the name stands for Eco Mobility Intelligence, suggesting that it uses a complex, yet efficient hybrid system. Powering the EX5 EM-i is a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an 11-in-1 electric drive unit that is paired with an E-DHT gearbox.
This setup delivers a whopping power of 317 bhp and 387 Nm of torque, which makes it one of the most powerful vehicles in its category.
