Dubai Police have added the Lamborghini Temerario to their luxury patrol fleet, bringing a 920hp hybrid supercar to the streets of the emirate. Introduced in partnership with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the new addition combines high-performance engineering with the force’s approach to tourist policing and community engagement.
Lamborghini Temerario: What makes it special?
The Lamborghini Temerario is the Italian carmaker's latest high-performance hybrid supercar. It features an electrified powertrain that combines a newly developed 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with three electric motors.
The setup produces a combined output of 920 hp, making the Temerario a significant addition to Dubai Police's collection of high-performance patrol vehicles. Unlike conventional petrol-powered supercars, its hybrid powertrain combines combustion-engine performance with electric motor assistance.
The Temerario joins a fleet that has become one of Dubai's recognisable attractions, reflecting the emirate's reputation for luxury vehicles and distinctive public services.
More performance than standard Temerario
The Lamborghini Temerario delivers impressive performance figures, with the hybrid powertrain producing 920 hp.
Here are the key performance figures of the standard Lamborghini Temerario:
| Specifications | Lamborghini Temerario |
| Engine | 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 |
| Electric motors | 3 |
| Combined power output | 920 hp |
| Acceleration (0-100km/h) | 2.7 seconds |
| Top speed | 343 km/h |
The supercar's rapid acceleration and high-top speed put it among the most performance-focused vehicles in Lamborghini's lineup. However, Dubai Police have not announced any mechanical modifications specific to the patrol version, so these figures refer to the standard Temerario.
Why do Dubai Police use luxury patrol cars?
Dubai Police's luxury patrol fleet serves a purpose beyond showcasing high-performance vehicles. The cars are deployed at popular tourist destinations and busy areas across the emirate, allowing residents and visitors to interact with police officers and learn more about the services they provide.
According to Brigadier Saeed Al Hajri, director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, the fleet combines an effective security presence with community and tourist engagement.
Colonel Mohammad Abdulrahman Abdulwahid, director of the Tourist Police Department, also highlighted the importance of introducing advanced vehicles and strengthening partnerships with private-sector companies.
The initiative aims to improve public engagement, raise awareness of police services and contribute to a positive experience for visitors to Dubai.
A growing collection of exotic patrol cars
The Lamborghini Temerario continues Dubai Police's longstanding association with exotic performance cars. The force's luxury fleet has previously featured vehicles such as the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Aston Martin One-77 and Lamborghini Aventador.
The Temerario also builds on Lamborghini's existing relationship with Dubai Police, which has included the Lamborghini Urus Performante.
The latest addition reflects the continued use of distinctive vehicles to improve police visibility in tourist areas while giving residents and international visitors opportunities to engage with officers.
How much does it cost in Dubai?
Dubai Police introduced the Lamborghini Temerario in partnership with Lamborghini Abu Dhabi and Dubai. However, the force has not announced the acquisition cost of the patrol car or confirmed where it will initially be deployed.
The standard Lamborghini Temerario has a claimed top speed of 343 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 2.7 seconds. Its addition further expands Dubai Police's luxury patrol fleet, combining hybrid performance technology with the emirate's distinctive approach to tourist policing.
