Showcased to the world for the first time at the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025, the upcoming Corolla will become the 13th generation of the sedan. With that said, the new-generation model has undergone a radical transformation in terms of design and cabin.

Although the car displayed is still a concept model, it is nearing its production stage. The overall silhouette of the car is sharp and futuristic, especially the front fascia that has a new connected LED light setup with L-shaped DRLs and a creased bonnet.

The windshield extends till half of the roof, which makes for an airy cabin feel and a low-slung front look. The side profile features a streamlined design with conventional ORVMs and flush door handles. However, the sloping roof line and the dual-tone alloys are dominating its looks.

The rear design has a ducktail shape with the new triple LED taillight septup, which is not connected completely.

Interiors and features

The cabin design of the Corolla concept is equally interesting. It features a minimalist dashboard with a three-spoke steering wheel that has haptic buttons and a triple screen panel behind the column that offers the speedometer, HVAC, and comfort controls.

There is a standalone tower instead of the centre console, which has a car-shaped gearshift lever and a few buttons to control the key features of the car. Additionally, it has decent space for the front passengers as there is no centre console - hinting at an electric architecture.

It will also feature new-age technology, which shall include the latest Lidar safety, wireless comfort and convenience features, a panoramic sunroof, etc. There is a screen for the front passenger in the concept car, which indicates that the production car is likely to get a triple screen or a full-width display.

Engine and specifications

The next-generation Corolla is based on an all-new platform. This platform will house five various powertrain options, including a pure petrol, plug-in hybrid, strong hybrid, and a pure electric version.
