Grows bigger with new design

Hyundai has internally codenamed the upcoming Creta as SX3. The latest spy shots of the SX3 have surfaced from South Korea. Interestingly, the spied car is considerably bigger than the current-generation Creta.
It seems that Hyundai will use Kia’s strategy, as the sibling brand recently launched a new Seltos overseas, which is also bigger in size. With that said, the visible exterior design changes include the longer wheelbase, which is due to the increased length, and a slightly raised stance.
The new-gen Creta will continue to offer a boxy shape with futuristic design elements like the connected LED lights. The test car has an upright front fascia with bumper-embedded headlamps. The new bonnet, fenders, and front design make it look considerably bigger.

The side profile is rather simple, as it gets the big glass area, a straight roofline, big wheel arches, and two types of alloy wheels, which are possibly fitted for testing purposes. It also has all four disc brakes and a radar module at the front, solidifying the fact that safety improvement will be Hyundai’s focus with the new-gen Creta.
While the rear is completely covered, we suspect that it will offer a new, vertical stance with elements like the connected LED lights, a roof-integrated spoiler, flush-type door handles, and a short overhang for easy approach and departure. The grown size means it will get more boot space as well, probably more than 500 litres.
New interiors, more space, better features

The spy shots also include a glimpse of the cabin, which, as expected, is bigger and more spacious than the current Creta. Additionally, it is equipped with redesigned seats for more comfort and more legroom for the rear passengers.
While the dashboard and centre console are covered, the new seats and the rear air-con vents look familiar to the bigger Hyundai SUVs like the Ioniq 5. The all-black leather theme is accompanied by a sunroof-less roof, indicating that it is a work in progress.

Speaking of the features, the new Creta is expected to offer the segment-first technology, which will include the advanced ADAS safety, AI-assisted voice commands, OTA updates, multi-zone climate control, and more.
Hybrid engine coming soon
Another big update with the new-gen Creta will be the debut of a 1.5-litre hybrid engine. It will be an HEV setup, which will offer high fuel efficiency and quick performance. The details regarding this engine will be revealed in the coming months.
Along with the new hybrid engine, the next-gen Creta will also offer the current engine options, which include the 1.5-litre turbo petrol and the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol. Certain markets also get the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine option.
When will the new Hyundai Creta launch?
The next-generation Creta is expected to debut globally by 2027 end. We suspect that it will be introduced in the Middle East by 2028. The new-gen Creta will be offered with a higher price tag due to the bigger size and modern cabin features.
Cars24 UAE says
The upcoming Hyundai Creta will undergo a significant change. It will not only grow in size but also offer a modern design language with AI-assisted features. Meanwhile, it will also debut a hybrid engine technology, which will focus on fuel efficiency and performance.
