2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL and Escalade IQ details
Platform and design
The new Escalade IQ and IQL models are based on the all-new BT1 electric platform by General Motors. Both models use an 800V architecture and offer DC charging support up to 350 kW.
The exterior design of the electric Escalade is identical to the petrol model, save for the different Obsidian chrome closed front grille, new vertical LED headlights, 24-inch alloy wheels, and slender rear profile with vertical LED lights.
The Escalade IQ is 2.1 inches longer than the petrol-powered model. Its massive size enhances its road presence and differentiates it from the standard petrol model. Both models also get a two-pane panoramic sunroof as standard.
Battery specifications and range
Powering the Escalade IQ and IQL models is a 205 kWh battery pack that offers up to 740 bhp and 1,064 Nm in “Velocity Max” mode. The Escalade IQ delivers up to 724 km of range, while the IQL delivers up to 708 km of range.
In terms of performance, the IQ can sprint 0-96 km/h in 4.7 seconds. It also features an active air suspension system and magnetic ride control that keeps it stable on the long sweeping corners. Moreover, both models feature four-wheel steering, which adds to the ease of moving them through tight spaces.
With DC charging of up to 350 kW, the Escalade IQ and IQL can be charged with a 150 km range in just 10 minutes.
Interior and features
The cabin design of the Escalade is largely similar to the petrol version. It gets the massive 55-inch full-width panoramic monitor on the dashboard, along with the leather upholstery as standard.
Moreover, the rear passengers get 12.3-inch individual screens for entertainment, while features like memory seats with ventilation, heating, and massage features keep the passengers cocooned.
The longer Escalade IQL offers the segment-best cargo capacity of up to 3,546 litres, while the front trunk, aka eTrunk, offers an additional 345 litres of cargo space.
