Mercedes is all set to reveal the new-generation electric GLC SUV at the upcoming Munich Motor Show 2025. Just days ahead of it, the first images of the new EV are out, revealing the cabin details.
As seen in the images, the new GLC EV is equipped with the latest ‘sensual purity’ design language of Mercedes for the cabin. It has a clean layout with high-grade materials and new features.
The talking point is the new 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen infotainment screen that has been spread all over the dashboard. It is first for a Mercedes to get equipped with a dashboard full-length screen.
Mercedes has equipped this screen with exceptional clarity by using over 1,000 LEDs. Additionally, it gets ‘Intelligent Zone Dimming’, a new patented feature of Mercedes that allows changing the display brightness for the passenger and driver as per the slider adjustment.
The full-size Hyperscreen will be optional on the top-spec variants. The lower-spec models are likely to get a smaller screen size.
It will offer the latest OS with smooth wireless connectivity and the latest AI-assisted features. Additionally, the air vents have illuminated LED lights that change as per the temperature settings.
Another interesting design feature is the centre console merging into the dashboard. The cup holders and the wireless charging pad are placed on the centre console.
Mercedes-Benz GLC EV: Battery, specs, range
The new GLC Electric will use an all-new 800V BEV platform, offering various battery and drivetrain options, including the 4MATIC AWD. It is reported online that it can support up to 350 kW fast charging.
The single electric motor variant is rumoured to offer 272 bhp and a range of up to 643 km. Meanwhile, the AWD variant will offer 490 bhp and less range.
UAE launch and price
The new-generation GLC EV will mark its global debut in the next few days. It is slated to launch in Europe later this year. Its UAE launch timeline and price are unknown as of now.
