Chevrolet Captiva EV and PHEV: Battery, specs, and range

Powering the electric Captiva is a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery, which develops 201 bhp of power and offers a maximum range of up to 415 km on a full charge.

 

It is built on the modern architecture that supports the rapid/DC charging of up to 6.6 kW. With the help of the rapid charging, it can be charged up to 80% in just 15 minutes, and a range of 75 km can be added in just 10 minutes.

 

Meanwhile, the PHEV version uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which is mated to a 20.5 kWh battery pack, combined producing 201 bhp and offers a maximum range north of 1,000 km. This battery pack supports DC/fast charging of up to 3.3 kW.

The design of the 2025 Captiva EV and PHEV versions is completely changed compared to the outgoing Captiva. It now features a sleek profile with sharp LED DRLs, sloping bonnet lines, and L-shaped LED taillights.

The new Captiva EV and PHEV are offered in two variants: LT and Premier. Customers in the UAE can choose from seven exterior colours: Galaxy White, Laser Grey, Shadow Golden, Dawn Blue, Khaki Green, and Red Metallic.

The cabin design of the new Captiva is also updated with a sleek and minimalist profile. The top-spec Premier trim is loaded with leather upholstery, a two-spoke steering wheel (standard for both models), and floating infotainment console with wireless connectivity.

 

The interiors of the new Captiva EV and PHEV feature good quality and fit and finish, with a large cargo space of up to 532 litres.

The prices of the new Captiva EV and PHEV models are yet to be announced in the UAE. However, the company has begun accepting the pre-bookings. The official deliveries are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
