Volvo opens new showroom

The latest Volvo showroom is now operational in Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road. The latter being one of the most popular areas in the city, Volvo has opened this showroom with a touch of Scandinavian taste.

Operated and retailed by Al-Futtaim, the new Volvo showroom packs an open design with elements that reflect the EV transformation of the brand by using sustainable materials and offering an airy feel to the customers. The whole design is to push buyers towards green mobility, while the Volvo tag offers complete peace of mind.

This new showroom hosts the complete range of Volvo models, including the latest ES90 electric sedan. Moreover, customers can also choose a used Volvo car under the brand’s ‘Volvo Selekt’ section. Here, one can easily find pre-owned Volvo cars that have been thoroughly tested and inspected by the dealership itself.

Volvo ES90 on offer

The major centre of attraction is the debut of the ES90, which is the brand’s latest EV. It uses the latest EV platform of the brand, thus offering a claimed WLTP range of 620 km on a full charge. Its 800V architecture supports fast charging, which adds 10-80% charge in just under 22 minutes.

It is powered by a 106 kWh battery pack, and it is available in a single electric motor and a dual-electric motor setup. The single electric motor variant offers 333 bhp and 480 Nm, while the AWD variant offers 455 bhp and 670 Nm.

It is a software-defined vehicle or SVD, and it is powered by NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin configuration. With its 12 ultrasonic sensors, 5 radars, and 7 cameras, it offers LiDAR safety. On the inside, it packs a vertical 14.5-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity and a wireless charging pad. It also gets built-in Google and 5G connectivity.

The new Volvo ES90 is offered at a starting price of AED 234,900, and it competes with Xiaomi YU7 and Tesla Model 3 in the UAE.
