The all-new 911 GT3 S/C is here, and it will be sold as a regular variant worldwide. The S/C stands for Sport Cabriolet, as it marks the first-ever GT3 variant that comes with a fully automatic convertible roof.

Engine specs

Powering the 911 GT3 S/C is the 4.0-litre flat-six naturally-aspirated motor. This engine develops 510 bhp, and it can redline till 9,000 rpm with its revised cylinder head and new camshafts, thus giving the driver an exclusive driving feel of a proper sports car.

Furthermore, Porsche has equipped the GT3 S/C with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, which comes with short ratios. With that said, it can do 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 313 km/h.

Hardware changes

Porsche has made sure to make the 911 GT3 S/C as superior as possible. It gets a carbon fibre bonnet, doors, and front wings, while the wheels and roof (partially) are made from magnesium.

The engineers have also used the trademark PCCB carbon braking system that improves the braking and reduces the overall weight. With the convertible roof mechanism, the 911 GT3 S/C weighs only 1,497 kg.

Exterior design

The exterior design of the 911 GT3 S/C is inspired by the S/T. It gets a fully fabric roof that can fold or unfold up to 50 km/h.

Meanwhile, it retains the key design elements from the GT3 S/T, which include the front lip, rear diffuser, and a retractable rear spoiler with a flap. It also features a wind deflector that makes the open-top driving more comfortable at higher speeds.

Interior features

The overall layout of the interior is also identical to the 911 GT3 S/T, save for the optional lightweight carbon fibre bucket seats. It is offered with a two-seater layout as the standard 911, as the rear seats have been eliminated for weight saving.

The seats get a 4-way adjustment with the Sport Seat Plus packaging, while the digital dash gets a “Track Screen”, which minimises the driving distractions during a track event. Customers can also opt for the “Street Style” package, which boasts retro interiors, red plaid upholstery, and a walnut shift lever.

Launch details of the 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C

Porsche has revealed the price of the 911 GT3 S/C for the US market at USD 275,350 (approximately AED 10,11,222 as of today’s exchange rate).

The new S/C will hit the Western market by the end of this year. We suspect that it will be launched in the Middle East by early 2027.
