Mercedes has launched a new, special, limited edition of the Maybach S 680 limousine in the US market. Badged Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Edition Emerald Isle, this new special car is limited to 25 units only. See its photos and other details below.

Why is the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 Edition Emerald Isle special?

The new Edition Emerald Isle is based on the standard S 680 limousine. However, it features a special exterior and interior treatment, which makes it stand apart from the ‘regular’ Mercedes-Maybach model.

On the outside, it features a dual-tone metallic colour combination of Mild Ireland Green and Moonlight White. This is inspired by California’s Central Coast and gives a soothing vibe.

Adding to the exterior beauty are the special 21-inch chrome-plated alloy wheels and chrome trim elements, which include the front grille, lower bumper grille, door beadings, Maybach logo, exhaust tips, and more.

Maybach Emerald Isle: Interior changes

On the inside, the new limited edition Maybach features Light Brown Nappa leather upholstery, which is further complemented by the hand-stitched leather. This pattern has been used on the dashboard, seats, door pads, headliner, seat pillows, folding tables, and more.

It also features the special ‘Edition Emerald Isle 1/25’ numbering embedded in the cabin, which signifies the limited edition. Additionally, the black Nappa headliner is matched with the special piano black and brushed aluminium highlights for a more luxurious feel.

New luxury features

The Edition Emerald Isle is also fitted with the top luxury features that include the Executive Rear Seat Package Plus, a refrigerator, and champagne flutes.

Meanwhile, the floor mats, door sills, seat headrests, and other trim parts have been printed with the edition-specific badges.

Maybach Edition Emerald Isle: Engine specs

Powering the Edition Emerald Isle is the 6.0-litre V12 turbo petrol engine, which makes 621 bhp and 900 Nm. It is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and the power is sent to all wheels via the 4MATIC AWD system.
