Chinese carmaker Zeekr has previewed its flagship SUV 9X in the UAE. The brand recently conducted a track day at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, where select customers got to experience the all-new Zeekr 9X hybrid SUV.

The latest track day event was named “Zeekr Dynamic”, where select customers participated to learn about track driving and Zeekr’s performance-oriented technology. The brand also previewed the 9X, an upcoming hybrid SUV that features a supercharged engine.

Price, variants and availability of the Zeekr 9X

While Zeekr is yet to launch the 9X officially in the UAE, the brand has already listed the variant and price details on its website. The 9X will be offered in three variants as follows:

• 9X Ultra - AED 369,900
• 9X Hyper - AED 409,900
• 9X Obsidian - AED 439,900

Zeekr has also commenced the pre-bookings of the 9X in the UAE at AED 10,000. The 9X will be sold via the official partner of Zeekr, i.e. AWR Automotive.

The range-topping Obsidian variant is a blacked-out version of the SUV that features a black exterior paint and 22-inch monobloc alloy wheels with chrome plating.

Engine specifications of the Zeekr 9X

The Zeekr 9X is based on a 900V architecture. It is powered by a plug-in hybrid 2.0-litre supercharged engine, and it is offered with dual and triple electric motor options.

The Ultra variant of the 9X is powered by a dual electric motor all-wheel drive setup that produces 885 bhp and 935 Nm of power and torque. It can sprint 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

Meanwhile, the Hyper and Obsidian variants get a triple electric motor setup producing 1,380 bhp and 1,410 Nm of torque. These variants offer 0-100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds, thus making the Zeekr 9X one of the fastest cars in the segment.

The 9X also offers a pure electric range of up to 380 km, and the combined range stands at 1,250 km. Zeekr has equipped the 9X with active suspension on the higher variants.

Exterior design details

The Zeekr 9X is a full-size three-row six-seater SUV. It measures 5,239 mm in length, and it gets a boxy styling with modern design elements like the adaptive LED headlights with sharp daytime running lights, 22-inch monobloc alloy wheels, connected LED taillights, chunky side mirrors, flush door handles, and LiDAR sensors.

With the lift suspension system, the 9X can raise its ground clearance by up to 110 mm. Meanwhile, it gets 288 mm of ground clearance, making it suitable for soft off-roading.

Interior design and features

The cabin design of the Zeekr 9X is ultra-luxurious. It gets three-row captain seats with Nappa leather upholstery and zero-gravity reclining boss seats with electrically extending footrests. Moreover, the Hyper and Obsidian variants feature 180-degree swivelling second-row seats.

The modern dashboard of the 9X features a massive 16-inch 4K OLED infotainment screen, a 13-inch digital driver console, and a 6.3-inch passenger infotainment screen. The rear passengers also get the individual entertainment package with a 17-inch OLED entertainment screen and a 32-speaker Naim sound system.

It gets up to 470 litres of cargo space with all seats up, and the electrically folding split tailgate makes the cargo loading easier for users.

Zeekr 9X also comes with a long list of autonomous safety aid systems, featuring 5 LiDAR sensors and 5 millimetre wave radars. The safety features include auto emergency braking, pedestrian collision avoidance, auto high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, augmented reality HUD, under-bonnet view, and even features an 8-inch overhead tube in the chassis that can withstand the lateral impact forces of up to 65 tons.

When will the Zeekr 9X launch in the UAE?

The Zeekr 9X will launch in the UAE in October 2026. Its pre-bookings are now open at AED 10,000, and it will be sold by AWR Automotive in the UAE.
