The Indian car manufacturer giant Tata Motors has released a new video trailer of the upcoming Sierra electric SUV, revealing its exterior design completely. The upcoming Tata Sierra EV is shown dune-bashing in the vast deserts of Tal Moreeb in the UAE.
Exterior design details of the new Tata Sierra EV

As shown in the video trailer shared by Tata, the exterior design of the Sierra EV looks identical to its ICE version. However, to keep the aerodynamic flow higher and to distinguish it from the ICE version, Tata has made quite a few changes to the electric Sierra.
The front profile, for example, gets a blanked-off grille with the Tata logo embedded into it. Meanwhile, an LED light band connects the new LED headlights on the top of the front grille. The front bumper is also new, as it gets a lower grille and aero dams for airflow, along with the silver garnishing on both sides.

The car shown in the teaser is dune-bashing in the UAE, and the side profile looks almost similar to its ICE version. The only difference is the new dual-tone aerodynamic alloy wheels and the presence of a “QWD” badge on the rear quarter panel. The QWD here symbolizes Quad-Wheel Drive, aka all-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the rear profile is unchanged in terms of the outlook.
Interior and features
The interior details of the electric Sierra are yet to be revealed. We suspect that it will offer a similar cabin design and features to its ICE version. Buyers can expect features like a triple screen setup, panoramic sunroof, ADAS safety features, wireless charging, ambient cabin lights, and more.
Battery specs and range
Considering that it will share its underpinnings with the Tata Harrier EV, we expect it to be offered with two battery packs: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. The maximum range could be north of 500 km, and the QWD or all-wheel drive option is likely to be offered on the top-spec variants only.
When will the Tata Sierra EV launch?
Tata Motors will launch the Sierra EV in India on June 30. However, Tata cars are not officially retailed in the UAE; hence, we will not get the electric Sierra SUV in the UAE.
