Chinese carmaker Chery has revealed the second generation of the Tiggo 8 SUV in China recently. The 2026 Chery Tiggo 8 will be officially launched by the end of this year, and it will mark its UAE debut next year. Read the complete details about it below.

2026 Chery Tiggo 8: What is new?

The new Tiggo 8 is the second-generation model that has debuted in China recently. It will be offered with two different designs in China, out of which one will be identical to the Lepas 8 SUV, which is essentially the same car with a different badge.

Speaking of the changes, the new Tiggo 8 has grown in size. It is 27 mm longer, 20 mm wider, and has 115 mm more wheelbase than the outgoing version. These numbers are significantly higher than the previous car.

Design-wise, the standard variant gets the new C-shaped twin LED DRL headlights, a new grille, a new set of bumpers, and an overall bigger silhouette. Meanwhile, the second version, which is identical to the Lepas 8, has an X-shaped grille, sleeker LED DRLs, and split headlights.

The rear shape includes the connected LED lights, a new bumper garnish with twin exhaust outlets, and a roof-integrated spoiler. The full-width Chery lettering remains consistent with the new model.

The side profile is now equipped with new multi-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels and flush door handles, which give it a more streamlined outlook.

The cabin details are unknown as of now, but we can safely assume that it will be identical to the Lepas 8. Hence, it will be loaded with a double-deck dashboard, a big vertical infotainment screen, a digital console, a two-spoke steering wheel, and all the modern bells and whistles in terms of features.

The new Tiggo 8 is likely to be offered with the current engine options. These include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre PHEV engine for efficiency.

However, the exact details regarding the powertrain will be revealed by the end of this year. The new-gen Tiggo 8 will be launched in China later this year. It is expected to be launched in the UAE by the first quarter of 2026.

The current Tiggo 8 price in the UAE starts from AED 98,500, while the PHEV variant is priced at AED 168,900 (without VAT).
