Ford has introduced the 2026 Territory in the UAE with a new hybrid engine option. The new 1.5-litre hybrid engine joins the existing 1.8-litre EcoBoost turbo petrol engine. Ford claims high fuel efficiency for the new Territory hybrid, along with smoother performance.

2026 Ford Territory Hybrid: Engine specs

The new Territory hybrid uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 148 bhp of power and 230 Nm of torque. However, it is paired with an 1.83 kWh NMC battery that helps it generate a combined output of 210-215 bhp (depending on variant) and 350 Nm.

The Territory hybrid uses a dedicated hybrid transmission, or DHT, which sends the power to the front wheels. This transmission keeps switching between the electric power and the petrol engine, depending on the driving conditions. This way, the car can self-charge, and it delivers a high fuel economy of up to 23.2 km/l in the global market.

This fuel economy is way higher than the 15.6 km/l claimed figure of the 1.8-litre EcoBoost engine. However, the UAE-specific fuel economy could differ due to the extreme weather conditions of the Middle East.

Exterior details

Apart from the engine, the Territory hybrid looks similar to the EcoBoost variants. It is a mid-size SUV that offers a five-seater configuration, and it has a crossover styling with a honeycomb front grille, C-shaped LED daytime running lights and full LED headlights.

The side profile features 18-inch and 19-inch alloy wheels, depending on the trim. At the rear, the Territory hybrid packs a sporty roofline with an integrated spoiler and sharp C-shaped LED taillights.

Interior and features

On the inside, the Territory hybrid features a spacious cabin layout with five seats, a dual connected screen display with a 12-inch digital driver cockpit and a 12-inch central infotainment screen, and features like wireless charging, voice commands, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.

Price and availability

The Ford Territory hybrid range starts from AED 129,000 in the UAE and goes up to AED 148,995 (depending on the trim). Ford offers a standard warranty of up to 5 years or 150,000 km. The 2026 Ford Territory hybrid is available via Al Tyer Motors in the UAE.
