Audi has unveiled the new A6L, aka the A6 long wheelbase version, in China. The China-specific 2027 Audi A6L has grown bigger in size and offers more features than ever before. It is now cheaper to purchase as well. Check out its complete details below.

What is new on the 2027 Audi A6L?

Design and dimensions

The new A6L has landed in the Chinese car market. It is a China-only model, and it now features an all-new design with a long-wheelbase chassis, which makes it seriously close to the size of the A8L.

Speaking of the changes, the exterior now features the new design that is similar to the international A6. It gets the new, sharp LED headlights with MATRIX tech, a new grille with big aero dams in the bumper and the brushed aluminium highlights.

The rear profile gets a set of new, connected LED lights with the illuminated Audi logo. The overall stance of the Chinese A6L resembles that of the A8 to a larger extent.

In fact, it is now 143 mm longer than the previous version, as it measures 5,142 mm in length now. Moreover, it now gets 3,066 mm of wheelbase, which is 68 mm longer than the standard Audi A8. Meanwhile, it is now closer to the Mercedes S-Class in overall length.

Customers can also opt for the S-Line variants, which offer blacked-out exterior trims and 21-inch S-Line alloy wheels with low-profile tyres.

Interior features

On the inside, the new Audi A6L offers an advanced and luxurious cabin with a triple screen layout on the new dashboard, cushioned seats with memory function and ventilation, and improved sound insulation.

The dashboard features the all-new steering wheel, an 11.9-inch digital console, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, and an optional passenger entertainment screen. It also features an augmented reality HUD.

Other key interior highlights include the 1.96 square metres panoramic sunroof, 112 RGB LED ambient lights, and a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

It also gets the LiDAR ADAS safety features, 9 airbags, drive modes, traction control modes, and 33 sensors that are mated to 28 ADAS sensors to provide active and passive autonomous safety features.

Engine specs

Powering the new A6L are three engine options:

• 2.0L four-cylinder TFSI turbo petrol engine with front-wheel drive, offering 201 bhp with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
   
• 2.0L TFSI engine with an 18 kW (24 bhp) electric motor assist with Quattro AWD, offering 268 bhp of power and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
   
• 3.0L V6 turbo engine with the 18 kW (24 bhp) electric motor assist with Quattro AWWD, offering 362 bhp with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

In addition to the above, the A6L also comes with an air suspension and a ride height adjustment with up to 30 mm increase.

Will it launch in the UAE?

Sadly, the Audi A6L is limited to the Chinese car market only. It will not be launched in the UAE.

In China, it is priced lower than the outgoing model. It is placed between 323,000 Yen to 436,000 Yen (approx AED 172,000-233,000)
