Chinese car manufacturer GAC has launched a new five-seater plug-in hybrid SUV in the UAE, called the GS7. The new 2027 GAC GS7 PHEV is now available via Gargash Motors from a starting price of AED 159,900, offering a maximum range of up to 1,020 km on a full tank of fuel.
2027 GAC GS7 PHEV: Engine specs
Powering the new GS7 plug-in hybrid is a powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that is paired with a 36.3 kWh battery. This combined system offers up to 501 bhp of maximum power and delivers up to 1,020 km of range with a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery.
The GS7 is no slouch as it can sprint 0-100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, while offering a top speed of up to 185 km/h. The GS7 is equipped with a triple electric motor AWD. It also comes with a Matrix FSD adaptive damping system that adjusts the suspension in real-time to iron out the undulations of the road for a comfortable ride quality.
Exterior details
The GS7 SUV boasts a clean and upright design with a boxy profile and sleek bodyline. The panels feature a minimal design language with clean surfaces and features like flush door handles, connected LED lights with smart pixel design, streamlined bumpers, 20-inch aerodynamic dual-tone alloy wheels, etc.
In terms of size, the GS7 is a fairly large SUV. It measures 4,900 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,880 mm. These proportions are designed to suit urban and off-road use for a midsize family.
Interior and features
The cabin design of the GS7 has been made to accommodate five passengers in comfort. The interior design boasts a dual-tone theme with Nappa leather upholstery, electric front seat adjustment with ventilation/heating/massaging, Boss Mode, a panoramic sunroof, LED cabin ambient lighting, and reclining rear seats with up to 137 degrees.
The dashboard of the GS7 features a two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, a large 15.6-inch central infotainment screen with the GAC ADiGO 6.0 operating system, a 22-speaker sound system, motorised dashboard speakers, a 27-inch HUD, four-zone voice recognition, wireless charging pads with ventilation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and more.
