Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the UAE-bound facelifted C-Class sedan in the global market. Expected to be launched in the Middle East next year, the 2027 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has undergone powertrain updates, new features, and S-Class-like design changes.

Styling updates

Speaking of the exterior details, the new 2027 C-Class packs subtle design updates. The front design now features a new front grille with illuminated star-like lights, which extends to the lower bumper, with the latter being redesigned as well.

The side profile now packs new mirrors and new alloy wheels ranging from 17 to 19 inches, depending on the variant. The rear profile has been updated with a new bumper and new star-like LED pattern taillights.

With these updates, the overall styling of the C-Class falls in line with the S-Class. Dimensionally, the sedan is almost unaltered.

Interior updates

On the inside, the new C-Class packs a similar cabin as the previous model. However, the bigger change comes in the form of the new MB.OS software for the infotainment system. The new update adds OTA updates and a virtual assistant that uses ChatGPT, Gemini AI, and Bing AI.

Moreover, it now features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with the new augmented reality head-up display. Mercedes has also added the new Level 2 ADAS safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane change and keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, etc.

Other updates include a new three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with physical control buttons, and new two-tone interior themes: warm beech brown and cherry red. The new interior themes are highlighted with the open-pore birch wood or open-pore anthracite birch wood, and silver metallic fabric.

Mercedes has also improved the cabin refinement with an improved windshield seal, improved insulation, and new mirrors that are designed to divert airflow from the windows.

New engine updates

Mercedes has added a new 23 bhp and 205 Nm ISG electric motor that boosts the petrol engines at low speeds and aids fuel economy. Meanwhile, the engine options are now Euro 7-compliant and feature a 9-speed gearbox. Mercedes has also reworked the suspension with a stiffer setting to provide better agility and handling.

The petrol engine options include the following:

• C 200 - 177 bhp and 270 Nm
• C 250 - 218 bhp and 320 Nm
• C 300 - 258 bhp and 400 Nm

The diesel engine options include the following:

• C 200d - 163 bhp and 380 Nm
• C 250d - 200 bhp and 440 Nm

The C 250 and C 250d engine options are available with all-wheel-drive configurations. Mercedes is also offering PHEV engine options in certain markets, which include the C 300e and C 400e, making 395 bhp and 650 Nm.

2027 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: UAE launch details

Mercedes has announced the new 2027 C-Class will be available in the global market in the first half of next year. We expect it to arrive in the UAE by late 2027.
