Chery Rely R08 price and availability in the UAE
The Rely R08 is available in the UAE via Al Ghurair dealerships. It has been priced at AED 62,895, including the 5% VAT, which makes it one of the most affordable pickup trucks in the Middle East.
Al Ghurair is offering a standard warranty of up to 5 years or 200,000 km on the Rely R08. The vehicle gets a service interval of 10,000 km or 6 months, whichever comes first.
How does the Chery Rely R08 look?
The Rely R08 looks like a proper pickup truck with a design that takes inspiration from the Ford F150 Raptor. The front fascia has twin pod headlights that are laid in a vertical layout with C-shaped LED DRLs, a protruding black bumper with a rugged design, and Rely lettering on the grille.
On the side profile, it gets the fixed side steps, large mirrors, conventional door handles, and flared wheel arches. The 18-inch alloys are draped in black colour, which matches the overall design.
The loading bed of the R08 truck features up to 1 tonne of payload capacity. Moreover, it gets the LED taillights, giving it a touch of modern outlook.
In terms of dimensions, the Rely R08 measures 5.37 metres in length, 1.96 metres in width, and 1.88 metres in height. These numbers make it longer and bigger than the current Toyota Hilux in the UAE.
What are the interior features of the Chery Rely R08?
On the inside, the Rely R08 features a premium cabin experience. The R08 Limited Edition model features a car-like cabin layout with comfortable leather upholstery and ample storage spaces.
In terms of modern features, it is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen, wireless charging, electric seat adjustment with ventilation, wireless smartphone connectivity, and more.
Additionally, it is loaded with the Level 2 ADAS safety features like the adaptive cruise control, auto-emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and more. These features are missing on the Toyota Hilux, which is priced at nearly double the rate of the R08.
Engine specs of the Chery Rely R08
The Rely R08 is offered with two engine options: petrol and diesel. The petrol engine has been sourced from Mitsubishi, while the diesel powertrain has been sourced from Dongfeng.
The more affordable petrol version uses a 2.4-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated motor that makes 158 bhp and 230 Nm. This powertrain is mated to a 5-speed transmission, and it comes with RWD as standard, while buyers can opt for 4WD on the higher trims.
Meanwhile, the diesel engine is a 2.3-litre, four-cylinder, turbo motor that develops 161 bhp and 420 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is also offered with the RWD and 4WD options.
