What is the Lexus Sport Concept?

The Lexus Sport concept is possibly going to become the successor of the LFA super car. While the brand has not officially confirmed it, the Sport concept shows how the upcoming sports car will look like.

The design of the Sport concept is inspired by the typical Lexus traits, which include the L-shaped LED DRL lights with four vertically-aligned horizontal headlights, a carbon fibre bumper with trapezoidal aero dams for seamless wind flow at the front.

The side profile gets a sloping roof with sharp cuts and creases on the side and digital ORVM. The rear design gets a connected LED light with a big diffuser and a spoiler.

However, there are a few worth noticing design elements, like the absence of the tailpipes that hint at an EV. If so, this could be a massive evolution for the brand as LFA is fondly remembered for its V10 engine and its exhaust note worldwide. 

But we think that this is just a prototype, and Lexus wants us to know that the next-generation LFA successor will look something like the Sport concept.

Lexus has not showcased the interiors of the Sport concept as of now. We firmly believe that the near-production-spec model will be revealed by the end of this year.

When will the new LFA successor launch?

As far as the online reports are concerned, it is rumoured that the new LFA successor will debut later this year. However, lately, there have been a few reports online that hint at a delay in the launch, which can be pushed to the second quarter of 2026.

UAE, being one of the top markets for Lexus, will also witness the launch of the LFA successor next year.

Since Lexus has not revealed any details regarding the powertrain, we will continue affirming with the rumours that hint at a brand-new V8 Hybrid engine.
