Renault Boreal SUV: Exterior design and dimensions

The Boreal is based on the new-gen Duster, but it has been stretched to 4,556 mm in length for a spacious cabin and a large cargo area of 586 litres, which can be further expanded up to 1,770 litres by folding the rear seats.

On the outside, it features a sharp and masculine design. The front gets scattered LED lights with a projector headlight setup. The front fascia has a big piano black highlight on the lower portion of the bumper, along with the LED foglights.

The side profile of the car looks unique and mimics a 7-seater SUV with bold shoulder lines and 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear door handles are neatly integrated into the C-pillar as well.

At the rear, it gets a roof-mounted spoiler with a sloping design. The sharp C-shaped LED taillights are complemented by a lifted boot lid and a sporty bumper.

Renault Boreal SUV: Interiors and features

The cabin of the Boreal offers a premium touch of luxury and advanced technology. The dashboard gets twin 10-inch displays, which include the digital cockpit and the infotainment screen.

The cabin has been treated with a dual-tone theme and leather upholstery to match the segment's expectations for luxury. Additionally, the interiors are loaded with brushed aluminium highlights and sharp design cues that match the exterior theme.

Renault initially unveiled the Boreal with a new 1.3-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine. It has been co-developed with Mercedes to offer 138 bhp/156 bhp along with 270 Nm of peak power and torque. 

Additionally, there is a flex fuel engine option as well, which is also based on the new 1.3-litre unit. It develops 163 bhp and 270 Nm of peak power and torque. All of the powertrain options are mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Renault Boreal SUV: UAE launch time

While Renault has not revealed the exact launch details and the timelines for the global market, the Boreal is initially going to be sold in Brazil. 

However, the brand has promised that it will sell the new SUV in 41 countries, which also includes the Middle Eastern market. We suspect it can launch by the end of 2025 in the UAE.
