Everything to know about the 2027 Nissan Juke EV

The all-new 2027 Juke EV is the first time ever revealed with a fully electric powertrain. While electrification is a big upgrade, let’s talk about its exterior design, which looks like a concept car.

The upcoming Juke EV features a radical exterior design that is based on the Hyper Punk Concept showcased in 2023 in Japan. It boasts ‘origami-styled’ sharp body panels, complex LED lights, and edgy design cues that set it apart from conventional EVs.

With its reveal, Nissan says that the Juke EV is aimed at young urban buyers who want to stand out from the crowd. Hence, it gets this unique styling. The brand is also prepared for polarising sales, as it has a different design philosophy.

However, the 2027 Juke EV does carry the evolutionary design elements like the C-pillar-mounted rear door handles and the visor-style glass area.

The Juke EV shares its platform with the new Nissan Leaf, which is a more conventional EV. While the latter is sold with 52 kWh and 75 kWh battery options internationally, the Juke EV's powertrain is yet to be revealed.

We believe that the Juke EV will offer around 300-600 km range and 120-215 bhp of peak power. It is based on the CMF-EV platform that supports 100 kW charging. The estimated charging time for 10-80% can be around 30 minutes.

The interior design of the Juke EV will be revealed in the subsequent weeks. The cabin layout it also likely to offer a similar edgy design language with a driver-centric dashboard.

When will it launch?

Nissan says that the electric Juke will enter production by the end of this year. However, a full-fledged production and global launch will take place in 2027.

With that said, Nissan is expected to bring the Juke EV to the UAE next year. It could be positioned alongside the upcoming Nissan X-Trail E-Power Hybrid.

Cars24 UAE says

The all-new Juke EV offers a radical design that sets it apart from the rivals. We believe that the Juke EV could emerge as a strong contender for the Chinese electric car makers like BYD and Chery with its unique design language and long range.
