Xiaomi’s UAE debut brings three new models to the road
Xiaomi, best known for its smartphones and consumer electronics, has expanded into the automotive industry with a focus on electric mobility and connected technology. Its UAE lineup brings this approach to three different vehicle types, catering to buyers looking for a sporty sedan, a practical electric SUV, or a vehicle that combines electric driving with extended range.
The cars are being introduced through Gargash Prime Automotive, the automotive division of Gargash Prime, part of the established Gargash Group. The lineup includes the SU7, a sleek electric sedan; the YU7, a five-seat electric SUV; and the SkyNomad, which uses an electric drivetrain supported by a petrol-powered generator.
All three models feature technology-focused cabins, driver-assistance systems, and software capabilities designed to enhance the driving experience.
Xiaomi SU7: An electric sedan with up to 1,548 hp

The Xiaomi SU7 is the brand's electric sedan and serves as the entry point into its UAE lineup. The model is available in four variants: Standard, Pro, Max, and Ultra.
The Standard variant starts at AED 169,900 and produces 320 hp, with a claimed driving range of up to 720 km on the CLTC test cycle. The Pro variant increases the claimed range to 902 km, while the dual-motor Max delivers 690 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.08 seconds.
At the top of the range is the SU7 Ultra, priced at AED 375,900. It features a three-motor electric powertrain producing 1,548 hp and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 1.98 seconds.
The SU7 combines a sporty design with advanced in-car technology, including Xiaomi's HyperOS-based cabin system, driver-assistance features, and over-the-air software updates.
Xiaomi YU7: An electric SUV for everyday driving

The Xiaomi YU7 brings the brand's electric vehicle technology into a more practical SUV body style. It is designed for buyers who want the benefits of an electric powertrain alongside the additional space and versatility of an SUV.
The YU7 Standard starts at AED 184,900 and produces 320 hp, with a claimed range of up to 643 km on the CLTC cycle. The Long Range variant increases this figure to 835 km, while the Pro and Max versions offer dual-motor all-wheel drive.
At the top of the lineup is the YU7 GT, priced at AED 299,900. With 1,003 hp, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 2.92 seconds.
The YU7 combines performance with everyday practicality, making it an option for UAE buyers looking for an electric SUV with a technology-focused interior and multiple powertrain configurations.
Xiaomi SkyNomad: An SUV with extended driving range

Unlike the fully electric SU7 and YU7, the Xiaomi SkyNomad uses a range-extended electric vehicle setup. It combines an electric drivetrain with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that works as a generator rather than directly driving the wheels.
This setup allows the SkyNomad to retain electric driving characteristics while using petrol to generate additional electricity when needed.
The SkyNomad N70 Pro starts at AED 209,900 and produces 286 hp. Higher variants, including the N70 Max, N90 Max, and N90 Studio, offer up to 422 hp.
The N90 Max and N90 Studio have a claimed combined driving range of up to 1,705 km on the CLTC cycle, making the SkyNomad an option for buyers who want to reduce their dependence on charging infrastructure during longer journeys.
The range-extender setup also provides an alternative for drivers who want an electrified vehicle but are not ready to rely entirely on public or home charging.
Warranty, servicing and what UAE buyers need to know
One of the key aspects of Xiaomi's official UAE launch is the availability of local ownership support. Cars purchased through Gargash Prime Automotive come with a warranty of up to five years or 150,000 km, along with service coverage of up to 60,000 km.
This gives buyers a local point of contact for servicing and warranty-related concerns, offering an alternative to purchasing vehicles through unofficial import channels.
For buyers considering an electric vehicle, the claimed driving ranges should also be viewed in context. The figures quoted for these models use China's CLTC test cycle, and actual range can vary depending on driving conditions, speed, temperature, and air-conditioning use.
With three models covering different needs, Xiaomi's UAE launch brings a new technology-focused option to the country's growing electric and electrified vehicle market.
