Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV complete details

The all-new Urban Cruiser Ebella EV might sound a little weird, but Toyota has made sure that it ticks all boxes for a perfect electric crossover. It is based on the Suzuki e Vitara, as both manufacturers are in a joint venture to make models together for the Indian and international markets. Hence, it features the Suzuki Heartect-E platform.

The Urban Cruiser EV is essentially a rebranded Suzuki e Vitara. However, Toyota has ensured that it has its own special touches. For example, it has a completely different front fascia with a ‘smiling face’ design as it uses sleek LED projector headlights, a piano black stripe between the headlights, and a different bumper than the e Vitara.

While the rest of the car is similar to the e Vitara, it gets its own colourways, which include 4 monotone and 4 dual-tone options. The monotone colours include Cafe White, Bluish Black, Sportin Red, and Enticing Silver. The dual-tone shades include the monotone colours matched with a black roof and black rear-view mirrors.
Meanwhile, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV gets 19-inch alloy wheel options, something that its Suzuki sibling does not offer.

On the inside, the Urban Cruiser Ebella is identical to the the e Vitara. It gets the beautiful dual-tone leather upholstery matched to the high-grade materials and a connected screen display with a 10.25-inch screen for the infotainment and a 10.1-inch screen for the instrument console. Moreover, it is features-loaded to the brim as it gets Level 2 ADAS, drive modes, electronic parking brake, wireless charging, ambient lights, moonroof, electric seats with ventilation, JBL sound system, UV-cut glass, and more.

Powering the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV are the two battery options. These include a 49 kWh that makes 144 bhp and 189 Nm of power and torque. Its claimed range is yet to be unveiled, but we believe it will deliver somewhere around 440 km on a full charge.
Meanwhile, the second option is a bigger 61 kWh battery pack that offers 174 bhp and 189 Nm of power and torque. It offers a claimed range of 546 km on a full charge.
UAE launch details of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV
Toyota has yet to confirm whether it will launch the Urban Cruiser EV in the Middle East or not. While the Middle East is Toyota’s top priority market, we suspect that the Urban Cruiser EV might be launched by the end of this year in the UAE. If so, it could be priced around AED 100,000.
Cars24 UAE says
The all-new Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV is certainly a big step forward for the Japanese company. The mid-size crossover offers decent interior space, a reliable battery and electric motor drivetrain, and all bells and whistles in terms of features. We hope that it will be launched soon in the UAE.
