Design updates on the 2026 Ford Ranger

The new Ranger pickup truck has undergone slight revisions in terms of design. It now features a revised fascia with the new lights, a new grille, and a new bumper.

 

Meanwhile, the side profile now gets the new design 17-inch off-road alloy wheels and tyres (18-inch on the Wildtrack), whilst the rear is loaded with the new taillights and a slightly redesigned bumper.

In terms of the colour palette, Ford has axed the Luxe Yellow and Equinox Bronze colours from the options, which are now replaced with the Traction Green (Wolftrack variant), Acacia Green (Platinum variant), and the new Ignite Orange (Wildtrack variant).

 

Ford has removed the Sport variant from the list, which is now replaced by the Wildtrack variant. Meanwhile, the XLS variant can now be had only with the double-cab option with a V6 diesel engine.

 

Interior and safety features updates

 

On the inside, all variants now come equipped with a 12-inch infotainment display as standard. The Wildtrack version gets the Matrix LED headlights and a 10-speaker B&O sound system as standard, which were previously optional.

 

The cabin now gets a new black theme, while the new V6 variants get the following features:

 

  • 17-inch steel wheels
  • Rear disc brakes
  • Electronic parking brake
  • Dual-zone auto AC
  • Rear AC vents (Double-cab versions)
  • Drive modes (Wildtrack variants)

 

In terms of safety, Ford has added the following features:

 

  • Autonomous emergency braking system
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Rear-cross traffic alert (with trailer coverage for the XLT variant)
  • Reverse brake assist
  • Reverse parking sensors
  • Reverse parking camera

 

The Ford Ranger already has a 5-star safety rating in the ANCAP tests, which is likely to remain unchanged.

 

Engine specs

 

2026 Ford Ranger

 

The base version XLT remains powered by the tried and tested 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine in the global market. This version now gets a 6-speed manual transmission option as well, along with the 10-speed AT gearbox. It offers 167 bhp and 405 Nm of power and torque, with a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes.

 

The big update is the new 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine for the double-cab and the Wildtrack variants. This powertrain gets the 4WD system with shift-on-fly rotary knob, while it offers 247 bhp and 600 Nm of power and torque, while being paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, offering a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes.

 

Meanwhile, the Ranger Raptor version is powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, which makes 391 bhp and 583 Nm. It is mated to the 10-speed automatic transmission and offers a towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes.

 

Price of the new 2026 Ford Ranger

 

The new Ford Ranger has been introduced in Australia at a starting price of AED 88,000 (approximately) for the 4x2 Ranger, while the 4x4 Ranger starts at AED 110,000 (approximately).

 

Meanwhile, the top-spec 4x4 Ranger Platinum V6 is offered at AED 190,000 (approximately), while the Ranger Raptor is priced at AED 215,000 (approximately).

 

When will the 2026 Ford Ranger launch in the UAE?

Ford has scheduled the deliveries of the new Ranger in the Australian market by mid-2026. It is suspected to launch in the UAE in the second half of 2026.

 

The new Ranger will compete head-on with the new-gen Toyota Hilux, which has been recently unveiled, and is suspected to launch in the UAE next year.
