2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport - What has changed?
For MY2026, Land Rover has renamed the variants of the Discovery Sport. The SUV was sold in three variants: S, Dynamic SE, and Dynamic HSE. However, these are now called: Dynamic S, Landmark, and Metropolitan, respectively.
Dynamic S variant
The new base trim, i.e. the Dynamic S, is now loaded with a gloss black front grille, black body claddings, and black wheel arches. This has visually enhanced the base trim into a more premium car.
On the inside, it gets a new digital instrument console, paddle shifters, and a big 11.4-inch curved infotainment screen with wireless smartphone features. It also supports the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Landmark variant
The mid-spec Landmark variant is now loaded with a mountain-range logo on the tread plates. The same logo is also projected by the puddle lamps, showing the off-road DNA of the company.
In terms of features, it is now loaded with sliding and reclining second-row seats, new Click-and-Go cup holders, a new panoramic sunroof, and a 3D surround view monitoring camera.
Metropolitan variant
Visually, the top-spec Metropolitan features a new Atlas Silver Discovery lettering on the bonnet and tailgate. Meanwhile, its front and rear skid plates are now finished in Indus Silver colour.
Additionally, the front grille now gets a silver foil insert, while the tread plates feature the Metropolitan lettering. It also gets the new 20-inch diamond-turned alloy wheels finished in a gloss black paint shade.
On the inside, it gets new 14-way electrically adjustable seats with ventilation/heating function, a 14-speaker 650W Meridian TM music system with subwoofer, cabin air purifier, and a clear sight digital interior rear view mirror.

2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport - Engine specifications
Mechanically, the new Discovery Sport remains unaltered. It will continue using the current engine options, which include a 2.0L turbo-petrol, a 2.0L turbo-diesel, and a 1.5L plug-in hybrid.
The 2.0L petrol engine makes 249 bhp and 365 Nm of peak power and torque. Meanwhile, the 2.0L diesel engine generates 204 bhp and 430 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport - UAE launch and price
The new 2026 Discovery Sport is expected to arrive in the UAE by the end of this year. It will be priced at a premium over the current model, which is positioned around AED 269,955 for the Dynamic SE (Landmark) trim.
