What is new on the updated 2027 Nissan Z Nismo?

Nissan is soon going to launch the updated Z and the Z Nismo models in the US market at the upcoming New York Motor Show 2026. While the standard Nissan Z gets cosmetic tweaks and minor cabin updates, the changes on the Z Nismo are not cosmetic, but mechanical.
The updated Nissan Z Nismo now features a 6-speed manual gearbox option, something that Z lovers have wanted globally for a long time. This new 6-speed manual gearbox has been specially designed with short gear ratios, so that the driver enjoys the car thoroughly.

Moreover, the cabin insulation and the active sound cancellation have been retuned as per the gearbox to give a thrilling experience in the Sports Mode. Even the clutch has been upgraded via a new shift lever ratio, which offers a shorter shift stroke, thus offering a more rewarding driving experience.

Furthermore, the front brakes have been upgraded with the new two-piece iron-aluminium rotors that have been carried from the Nissan GT-R. These rotors provide a considerably lower brake pad temperature, which helps in reducing the brake fade substantially during track driving. Not only do these offer improved cooling, but these rotors are 8.6 kg lighter than the outgoing model.
Nissan did not stop here and went ahead by updating the steering rack with 20% less internal friction, which offers a more direct feel, requiring fewer steering corrections mid-corner. Additionally, the suspension has also been retuned for a more “magnet-like” driving experience.

Powering the new 2027 Nissan Z Nismo is the same 3.0-litre V6 turbo engine that offers 420 bhp and 520 Nm. Interestingly, the new 6-speed manual transmission will be offered on all variants as standard, while buyers can opt for the 9-speed automatic transmission as an option.
When will it launch in the UAE?
The all-new 2027 Nissan Z Nismo will go on sale in the US by mid-2026. It is expected to launch in the GCC towards the end of this year. The current Nissan Z is priced at AED 215,900, and we believe that the updated Z sports car will be positioned similarly.
Cars24 UAE says
