Dubai RTA number plates auction details

As per the latest announcement, Dubai RTA will be starting a new auction for 350 exclusive Dubai number plates. These number plates include the 2, 3, 4, and 5 digits, which make them special for owners.

The auction is set to start on August 11, while the registrations for it will begin on August 4. The auction will run for 5 days. However, only the participants with a valid Dubai traffic file are allowed to participate in the auction.

Speaking of the details, there will be a total of 350 number plates, which include the following codes: H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Additionally, the Classic category Dubai number plates are also included in the auction.

What is the registration cost and process?

As far as the registration costs are concerned, participants will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Dh120 while registering. Moreover, there will be a refundable security deposit of Dh5,000, which participants will need to submit via a cheque.

For registration, participants can pay the required registration fee at the Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira. Payment methods include credit card or cash. Participants can also register through the official Dubai RTA website (link here).

All the payments will be subject to the 5% VAT before final payment. Successful bidders will be given a time period of 10 working days to submit their fee from the closing date of the auction. 

The required payment can be made at the service provider centres by paying cash up to Dh50,000. Bidders can also opt for Customer Happiness Centres or the Dubai RTA website to complete the payment process.
