Aston Martin DB12 S: More power, better driving feel

Starting with the main highlight of the change, the DB12 S is powered by a 4.0-litre, V8, twin-turbo engine that now makes 690 bhp. This is 20 bhp higher than the standard DB12.

Moreover, it can now sprint 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, while the top speed is now 325 km/h. It also gets a Launch Control System that reduces gearshift timing by 50% for quick acceleration off the line.

On the specifications front, the DB12 S features a reworked steering geometry and electronic rear differential for an improved connected driving feel. A new ‘drive-by-wire’ has also been added for better throttle response.

Meanwhile, the suspension is now reworked with the stiffer rear anti-roll bars and revised camber, toe, and castor geometry. Additionally, it gets Bilstein DTX dampers to reduce pitch and roll.

Aston Martin DB12 S: Aggressive design, better interior features

Aston has given the DB12 S a visual update as well. It now looks more aggressive with the new dual splitters on the front bumper and a redesigned rear bumper with a new spoiler for more downforce.

The bonnet now features dual air outlets finished in carbon fibre or piano black shade as per customer’s choice. Meanwhile the black side skirts add to the overall sporty persona of the car.

The side profile has new, lightweight 21-inch wheels and bigger ceramic disc brakes, which saves 27 kg of weight. Customers can also opt for a full system titanium exhaust that saves 11.7 kg, and also offers an amazing aural experience.

On the inside, the DB12 S is equipped with the new sporty Alcantara leather seats with a 16-way powered-adjustable driver seat. The rotary dial on the centre console is painted in red colour, while the dark satin and gloss black highlights elevate the overall cabin experience.

Meanwhile, buyers can opt for a sporty Alcantara steering wheel, and Bowers & Wilkins music system, a garage door opener, and aluminium or wood trim.

Aston Martin DB12 S: UAE launch and price

Aston Martin is yet to announce the exact launch date of the DB12 S, but it will launch next year in the global market. We expect it to launch in the UAE by 2026-end. It will be launched in coupe and convertible body styles with an expected price tag of AED 1.4 million.
