Honda Civic Type R Ultimate Edition - What's special?

Honda will discontinue its Civic Type R sports sedan in the European car market in 2026. However, the company has decided to say farewell to the Type R moniker with the ‘Ultimate Edition’ model.

Limited to 40 units only, the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition features sporty design changes and special offerings to customers. The exterior features a bespoke sporty red colour decal on the bonnet, which matches the iconic “R” badge.

Meanwhile, the body parts, including the roof, ORVMs, spoiler, and the doorstep garnish, feature a gloss black paint.

Inside the cabin, it offers a carbon fibre centre console and additional lighting for the door lining, centre console, footwell area, under-seat area, and even the cupholders. The puddle lamps project the iconic “Type R” logo as well.

Meanwhile, Honda is also offering a unique gift box to every customer, which features a special numbered emblem (out of 40), along with a carbon key ring.
