Everything to know about the Hyundai Boulder Concept

The Boulder Concept takes its inspiration from the old-school body-on-frame SUVs, and it features a rugged design that has been carved to take on the hardcore off-road sections. While it is a concept model, it packs some interesting features like the Liquid Titanium exterior paint job.
In terms of design, it is based on the ‘Art of Steel’ philosophy, where the front fascia packs the split vertical LED headlights, twin horizontal slatted grille with pill-shaped openings, and a big bash plate underneath the rugged bumper.

The side profile packs the 18-inch rugged alloy wheels and all-terrain tyres. Meanwhile, the functional door steps are placed underneath the suicide doors. The roof packs the functional rails with LED lighting elements, while the rear-quarter panel gets a protruding body line.
At the rear, it features a double-hinge tailgate, which can be opened from any side. Moreover, the vertical LED lights are accentuated by the electrically rolling down rear windscreen, which can be rolled down to carry long luggage.

Hyundai has focused on customisation with the Boulder, and the brand says that it can support a wide range of customisation options as per the customer preferences.
On the inside, it packs a three-spoke steering wheel with dual rotary knobs for selecting the drive modes and traction modes. Meanwhile, the rugged-looking dashboard features 4 individual screens displaying off-road-centric information.

On the other hand, the instrument console has been replaced by a full-width head-up panoramic display. Additionally, the cabin is draped in beige leather upholstery.
As of now, the Boulder remains a concept, while the first production car based on this platform will be a pickup SUV, specifically made for the US market. It is likely to hit the production line by 2030.
Cars24 UAE says
The new Hyundai Boulder Concept looks like a mini Land Rover Defender. The body-on-frame architecture is a first from Hyundai, and we have high hopes from the production-spec model, which will be based on the Boulder Concept.
