Jaguar F-Pace production ends after 10 years

Jaguar has axed its last ICE car ever. The production of the F-Pace SUV has ended after a decade-long stint internationally. Jaguar rolled out the last F-Pace from its Solihull-based manufacturing plant in the UK, which is destined for the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
The F-Pace made its world debut in 2015 at the Detroit Motor Show, and it was positioned as the rival for the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz M-Class (now called GLE), and the Audi Q5.
The F-Pace came with the options of two engines: a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel. Both engines were paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and an AWD drivetrain.
However, Jaguar did give it a major update in 2021 as a facelift. The facelift of the F-Pace brought with it the new grille, new lights, and new alloy wheels, while the overall silhouette remained unchanged.
Jaguar has been axing its ICE models from 2024, as the brand now looks towards a complete electric future. Based on the prototype called ‘Type 00’, the brand will introduce the ‘GT’ by late 2026, which is expected to become the first car since the brand revamp. It will be delivered to customers in 2027.
Meanwhile, the company says there are enough F-Pace units in the stock that will last till 2026 internationally.
Cars24 UAE says
Jaguar’s complete phase out of the beautiful and driver-centric cars is a complete shift to a new technology, which still remains dicey and unaccepted by customers. So, what will happen when the GT electric Jaguar arrives next year? Well, only the future will tell.
