Chinese carmaker Jetour has introduced its latest flagship SUV in the UAE, called G700. It is a direct rival of the BYD Yangwang U8, and it can also swim in the water. Check its complete details below.

Jetour G700: What is it?

The G700 is the latest flagship model of Jetour. It has marked the world debut at Dubai last week. The G700 is a full-size SUV that is available with various seating layout options and a strong PHEV engine that offers 4X4 capabilities, and even enables you to swim through a river.

The G700 has followed the success of the T1 and T2 SUVs in the UAE. As per the company, the Middle Eastern market is one of the fastest evolving markets in the EREV or PHEV segment.

It is available in three variants in the UAE: Standard, Comfort, and Luxury.

Jetour G700: Exterior design

The G700 is a big chunky SUV that boasts the typical boxy design along with the rugged elements like the all-terrain tyres, big wheel arches, body kit, and skid plates for off-roading.

Offering a touch of modernity, are the LED headlights, LED tail lights, and an illuminated logo that makes it distinctive on the road.

Jetour G700: Interior features

The cabin design of the G700 offers top-notch luxury and modern features. Customers can choose from a second-row bench seat or an all captain seats layout as per their requirements.

The interior theme offers a combination of dual-tone colours, which customers can choose from an array of options. Moreover, the seats are electrically adjustable, offering supreme comfort for long drives.

Jetour G700: Engine specs and mileage

The G700 offered in the UAE is equipped with a 2.0-litre, PHEV hybrid engine. This engine standalone generates 207 bhp and 340 Nm of power and torque.

It is mated to a dual-motor setup that gets powered by a 34.13 kWh battery pack, offering a total power of 754 bhp and 795 Nm of peak torque.

Jetour claims that it offers a pure electric range of 138 km, while the total range is around 1,100 km on a full tank of fuel. It can sprint 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 180 km/h.

In terms of the off-road capabilities, it gets a 900 mm of water-wading capacity, 230 mm of ground clearance, and features like tank turn, transparent chassis view, and locking differentials (optional).

Jetour G700: UAE price and availability

The official pricing of the G700 is yet to be announced. However, we suspect that it’ll be positioned around AED 650,000, which is in the same ballpark as the BYD Yangwang U8.

The G700 is now officially available across all the Jetour dealerships in the UAE. The deliveries are set to begin in the coming weeks.
