2026 Nissan Sentra: What to expect?
Nissan has recently filed the homologated images to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the upcoming Slyphy sedan, aka the Sentra in the global market.
The new-generation Sentra appears to have undergone sharp design updates. While the overall silhouette looks identical to the current model, it is 0.6-inch longer and 0.4-inch wider than the current car.
Moreover, it gets the Nissan N7-inspired design, as the front is equipped with a new connected headlight setup and an illuminated logo. The bonnet, overhand, and side lines appear to be slightly changed.
Similarly, the rear profile gets a redesigned boot, a new set of clear-lens connected taillights, a new bumper and a longer overhang.
2026 Nissan Sentra: Engine and specs
Nissan Sentra or the Slyphy will be sold with the 1.6-litre petrol engine and CVT transmission in China, which makes 135 bhp and 159 Nm of power and torque.
However, online rumours hint that Nissan is developing a new hybrid engine for the international market. This new strong hybrid engine could therefore use a 1.5-litre block with the trademark e-Hybrid technology.
UAE launch and price
As of now, Nissan is planning to debut the new Sentra in the US and European markets by the end of next year.
However, considering that the UAE is one of the top markets for Nissan, we suspect it will debut in the Middle East later next year.
The expected price tag of the next-gen Sentra can be around AED 80,000.
