Until now, the residents of the International City area were burdened with the uniform rates for visitors and resident parking. But, coming into effect from February 1, 2026, this problem will be permanently solved by the Parkin PJSC.

As per the official information released by Parkin, the Dubai International City area will get separate paid parking zones and timings. These tariffs have been carefully curated to accommodate residents' and visitors' parking together.

The new paid parking system in the Dubai International City area will operate every day from 8 AM to midnight. While this paid parking will continue to offer free parking on Sundays and public holidays, the tariffs on weekdays are as follows:

  • 30 minutes - AED 2
  • 1 hour - AED 3
  • 2 hours - AED 6
  • 4 hours - AED 12
  • 7-16 hours - AED 25

To avail the paid parking in International City, motorists can use the standard code ‘621Q’. Moreover, Parkin PJSC has already started installing the signboards across various regions to inform the residents and tenants.

Why has paid parking been introduced in the Dubai International City?

As per the residents of the Dubai International City, the parking concern has been a long-standing issue that needs to be resolved. The prime concern was the uniform rate for all the residents and visitors, which led to rental and commercial vehicles occupying the prime spaces.

Second, the abandoned vehicle issue has also been a major concern for the residents. Now, with the paid parking introduced, residents are hopeful to enjoy stabilised tariffs, which in the future could be offered with ‘monthly passes’.

However, since everything has a flip side, families with multiple cars who were previously enjoying the free parking spaces are now likely to be burdened with the parking charges.

The current rollout does not include any monthly pass scheme for such residents, but hopefully, such cards/passes are likely to be introduced soon. Additionally, tenants with valid contracts will be easily able to find parking spaces with the new structured paid parking system.

How to pay for the paid parking in the Dubai International City?
