As per the official details, both Tang 9 and Han 9 models will be positioned between AED 105,400 and AED 158,000 in the Chinese market. Both cars will be positioned as the flagship models in their respective segments.

The online reports suggest that BYD will equip both models with its most advanced and competent technologies, including the Lidar-equipped safety suite. Additionally, both cars will be based on a new 800V architecture, offering the best of performance and efficiency.

What to expect from the BYD Tang 9 SUV?

The upcoming BYD Tang 9 SUV will be based on the BYD Dynasty-D concept model, which was showcased at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. The Tang 9 will measure 5.2 metres in length, thus positioning it against rivals like the Range Rover SV.

The teaser image shows a sleek and elegant roofline of the Tang 9, which looks familiar to the Dynasty-D concept SUV. The Tang 9 will be offered with BEV and PHEV powertrains.

Considering that it will become the flagship BYD Tang model, the Tang 9 is likely to offer an ultra-luxurious cabin with roomy interiors and AI-assisted wireless features.

What to expect from the BYD Han 9 sedan?

The Han 9 will become the flagship BYD Han model upon debut. It is reported to be 5.1 metres long, and it will have a wheelbase of 3.1 metres. This indicates that it will be a luxury electric car that will be positioned against the likes of the BMW i7 and the Mercedes-Benz EQS.

However, not much is known about its donor chassis or the technology involved. But, we suspect that it will be heavily inspired by the Tang 9, and it is likely to offer similar world-class technology and Lidar-based features.

When will the BYD Tang 9 and Han 9 launch?

BYD had previously revealed that it will debut the Tang 9 and Han 9 in the first-half of 2026. We believe that both models will be initially launched in China and later introduced in the other markets.
