What is the Audi Concept C?

The recently unveiled Concept C is an all-electric concept car that shows the future of Audi's car design language. Additionally, it will reach the production phase, and it is likely going to be positioned between the Audi TT and Audi R8 models; both of which have been discontinued globally.

Speaking of the concept model, finished in a clean ‘Titanium’ matte paint shade, it portrays the beauty of the third-gen Audi A6 and the Union Type C model (1936) through its vertical grille. 

Additionally, it features the sleek LED lights, chiselled body panels, and a low-slung coupe design with horizontal slats at the rear that remind us of the Audi R8. Even the upper half looks inspired by the R8 sports car. It also features a retractable roof, which hints at multiple production iterations to come soon.

On the inside, Audi has followed a minimalist design flow with plain and clean lines, high-grade brushed aluminium on the door panels, centre console, and on the four-rings logo on the steering wheel. It also features a folding 10.4-inch display for the infotainment system.

Is it the future Audi R8 comeback?

While we love the Audi R8 to the core, sadly, it isn’t coming back anytime soon. Rather, the new Concept C will be a brand new two-door sports car that will hold the beacon for the future Audi sports car models.

Additionally, Audi’s top official has also told the media that it will certainly not be named ‘Audi TT’, as it is a different car altogether. Moreover, the Concept C production model will be an all-electric first, and then later it might receive a turbo-hybrid engine.
