Maserati Grecale Folgore Electric SUV - Design and features

The Gercale Folgore is the flagship electric car from the Italian car brand Maserati. It is based on a unique EV platform, which is a 400v architecture.

The design of the Gercale Folgore is elegant and more conventional, rather than futuristic like the other EV cars in its segment. Maserati has equipped it with the chiselled panels, LED lights, the iconic Maserati front grille design, and aerodynamic alloy wheels between 19 inches and 21 inches (optional).

The rear end design uses sharp wraparound LED lights, a sporty roof-mounted spoiler, and a curvy overall shape.

Step inside the cabin, and the ECONYL environment-friendly leather upholstery welcomes you. Maserati has used the special recycled nylon from the fishing nets and other similar sources to build up the cabin, including the roofliner, carpets, and door pads. 

In terms of features, it is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and an 8-inch comfort display for the HVAC and other controls.

The other key highlight features include wireless phone connectivity, wireless charging, multiple zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and four driving modes: Max Range, GT, Sport, and Off-Road. 

Battery, performance, range, charging, specs

The Grecale Folgore uses a 105 kWh battery, out of which only 97 kWh is usable. This battery pack generates 550 bhp and 820 Nm of peak power and peak torque.

With the help of dual motors and an AWD, it can reach up to a top speed of 220 km/h. The 0-100 km/h mark on the speedometer is achieved in 4.1 seconds.

The maximum claimed range of the Grecale Folgore in the Eco mode is up to 500 km.

Due to its 400v architecture, the Grecale Folgore supports rapid charging of only up to 150 kW. The 20-80% charging is done in 29 minutes by using the rapid charger.

Maserati Grecale Folgore Electric UAE price and rivals

The starting price of the Gercale Folgore electric in the UAE is AED 299,000, without taxes. This makes it fall into the category of rivals like the Porsche Taycan, BMW iX, and the Tesla Model S.
