Everything we know so far about the Skoda Peaq

The latest announcement from Skoda has unveiled the nameplate of the upcoming 7-seater flagship SUV, which will be based on the Vision 7S concept model. This model will be called Peaq, and it is the first time that Skoda has broken its hierarchy of using the E- nameplates for the EVs.

Speaking of its details, the Peaq EV will be based on the MEB platform, which is also used on the other EVs, including the Skodaq Elroq. This platform will feature an 89 kWh battery pack, which will offer a range of 600 km, and support fast charging of up to 200 kW.

Skoda is yet to confirm whether the Peaq will be offered in a FWD configuration or an AWD, but we suspect that the latter will also be on the cards for launch in the global market.

In terms of design, the Peaq will feature an all-new T-shaped LED light setup on the front and rear ends. The Vision 7S concept has already been displayed to the world, and the production-spec Peaq is likely to offer a similar silhouette, including Skoda’s signature Tech Deck panel.

The Peaq will also use the Modern Solid design philosophy of the brand, which we recently saw on the Skoda Epiq EV.

When will it launch?

The upcoming Skoda Peaq EV is expected to be revealed by mid-2026. However, an official launch date is yet to be announced. We firmly believe that it will also be launched in the UAE, but not anytime before 2027.
