Genesis has given the GV70 a mid-life update in South Korea. The 2027 Genesis GV70 has been introduced as a facelifted model, featuring new cosmetic tweaks, including a new Graphite Package.

2027 Genesis GV70: What is new?

The updated 2027 GV70 SUV brings with it slight changes that give it a fresh appeal for new buyers. While the new model is essentially the same as the outgoing one, it gets a refreshed exterior and interior.

On the outside, the new GV70 now comes with a new exterior colour option called Tromso Green. Meanwhile, the old 18-inch alloy wheels have been replaced by the bigger 19-inch five-spoke sporty alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, the cabin now features meaningful updates. First, the wheelhouse pads have been updated and thickened for improved noise, vibration and harshness levels. Additionally, it now comes with panel-type front seatback covers, which the company says are highly demanded by customers.

On the other hand, a new “Prestige Package” is now available that offers a Bang & Olufsen sound system and a panoramic sunroof. This package also combines Convenience and Popular II package features.

However, the big addition is the new “Graphite Package”, which gives the new GV70 a sporty makeover. This package adds 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, an electronic limited-slip differential, and an electronically controlled suspension. 

Moreover, it boasts sporty cosmetic tweaks, including red brake callipers, black mirrors, and four exclusive exterior colours: Bering Blue, Ceres Blue Matte, Uyuni White, and Makalu Grey. The interiors of the Graphite Package are draped in an Obsidian Black and Ultramarine Blue theme, whereas the seats get Nappa leather treatment. The interior upgrades do not just stop here, as buyers will appreciate the carbon fibre trim, new sporty screen animations, red stitching and highlights, aluminium pedals, and more.

Mechanically, the 2027 GV70 continue using the 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol making 300 bhp, and a 2.5-litre V6 turbo petrol engine making 380 bhp. The latter also gets all-wheel drive globally. 

When will it launch?

The 2027 Genesis GV70 is currently available in South Korea, but the brand has revealed that it will be sold in other countries soon. UAE is a priority market for Genesis, and we suspect that the updated GV70 could be introduced later this year with a slight price increase.
