Lexus has introduced a mid-life update of the NX SUV in the global market. The updated 2027 Lexus NX facelift packs a redesigned exterior and interior, along with new features and updated powertrains that offer more efficiency now.
2027 Lexus NX facelift: What is new?
Updated exterior design

The latest NX facelift gets mild cosmetic tweaks that throw in a fresh flair of change. For example, the front fascia now packs a new spindle-shaped front grille that is inspired by the new Lexus ES 350.
Meanwhile, it also gets the new bumper with a protruding nose design, sharp air dams that mesh into the new LED headlights. The latter now features a dual-band daytime running light setup.

The side profile is almost unchanged, save for the new alloy wheels, which range between 18 inches and 20 inches, depending on the variant. At the back, the tailgate now features ‘Lexus’ lettering with new LED taillights that are connected via an LED light bar. The rear bumper has also been redesigned for a muscular look.
Lexus has also introduced new exterior colours: Sonic Platinum and Sonic Tellus.
New interior and features

Step inside and you are greeted with a completely new interior on the NX facelift. The redesigned cabin is inspired by the new 2026 Lexus ES, as it packs a toned-down and minimal design.
The dashboard packs a big 14-inch central infotainment screen that also controls the AC now. Meanwhile, the 12.3-inch digital driver console offers an immersive driving experience.
Lexus has also introduced a new three-spoke steering wheel with ‘Lexus’ lettering on the horn pad. Lexus is offering the new NX facelift in four variants: Business, Executive, Luxury, and F-Sport. Depending on the variants, the interior design and features are altered.
All variants get powered and heated front seats, a new LexusConnect infotainment system, and a fast-processing 256GB of memory. On the Executive trim, you get front-seat memory and lumbar adjustment, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and LED ambient lighting.
On the Luxury trim, you get the 20-inch alloys, leather upholstery, heated rear seats, an augmented reality heads-up display. The range-topping F-Sport variant comes with black exterior and interior trim highlights, sporty bumpers, dual-tone 20-inch sporty twin-spoke alloys, and exclusive colours.
The new NX also comes equipped with the ADAS safety features: adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, lane keep assist, auto emergency braking, rear-cross traffic alert, etc. Meanwhile, the Luxury variant gets some optional upgrades, including the 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system with subwoofers, frameless rear-view mirror, etc.
Improved engine specs and more EV range
Lexus has also upgraded the powertrains on the new NX facelift. It is available in two versions: 450h+ and 350h.
The 450h+ is a plug-in hybrid engine that uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine. Lexus has increased the power output by 15 bhp, as it now makes 307 bhp. The lithium-ion battery size has also increased from 18 kWh to 23 kWh. Hence, it now offers 100 km of EV range, as opposed to 72 km of the previous version.
The 450h+ can sprint 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds (claimed), and the DC charging can juice it from 10-80 percent in 30 minutes. Mind you, it is available in all-wheel drive only.
On the other hand, the 350h uses the 2.5-litre strong hybrid engine from the ES sedan. It makes 199 bhp and comes with FWD and AWD. Lexus has reduced the battery weight on this variant from 32.7 kg to 23.5 kg. The FWD version can sprint 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, and the AWD can do it in 7.3 seconds.
When will it launch in the UAE?
Lexus is expected to launch the new NX facelift in the UAE by the end of this year or early next year. The current model is priced at AED 213,000, and the new model is expected to be positioned slightly higher than it.
