Chinese carmaker Jaecoo has launched its latest flagship SUV in the UAE, called the J8. The J8 is available from a starting price of AED 121,900, and it competes with rivals like the Nissan Pathfinder in the Middle East.

The new Jaecoo J8 SUV is now available in the UAE in three trims, whose prices are as follows:

- Premium (AWD): AED 134,900
- Flagship (AWD): AED 147,490

The above-mentioned prices exclude the 5 per cent VAT. The J8 is now available across the UAE via the Omada and Jaecoo dealerships.

The Jaecoo J8 is a mid-size seven-seater SUV. It boasts a modern and sleek outlook with an urban-inspired design. The front fascia boasts a âwaterfallâ grille, sleek LED daytime running lights, and a streamlined bumper with aero inserts on both sides.

The bonnet design features curves and creases, which can be seen running through the bodyline of the SUV. The side profile packs the 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, flush door handles, and satin roof rails. The roofline design features a âfloatingâ effect, while the range-topping version gets the Privacy Glass as well.

Moving to the rear, the J8 packs a roof-integrated spoiler, a sharp connected LED taillight setup, a sporty rear bumper with piano black inserts, and Jaecoo lettering on the tailgate. The tailgate itself is power-operated.

The Jaecoo J8 measures 4,820 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height. If we compare it with the Nissan Pathfinder, it is 126 mm shorter in length, 45 mm in width, and 85 mm in height. Also, it is a seven-seater SUV, while the Nissan Pathfinder offers up to an eight-seater layout.

On the inside, the Jaecoo J8 comes loaded with six- and seven-seater options. It features a clean and plush interior design with a curved 12.3-inch dual-screen display, a three-spoke steering wheel, and captain seats (on the six-seater version).

The dual-tone cabin uses a rich leather upholstery that is accentuated by the use of brushed aluminium AC vents and silver and black finishing. The front and second row seats get power adjustability, memory function, massage function, ventilation, and heating.

Meanwhile, the curved connected display offers wireless connectivity, including AI-assisted voice commands. The central console features an in-built refrigerator, wireless charging pad with ventilation, drive mode selector, electronic parking brake, and more.

For passenger comfort, the J8 gets Acoustic Glass that quietens the NVH levels by a significant amount. Meanwhile, it gets comfort and convenience features like a four-zone automatic climate control, a 14-speaker Sony sound system, a head-up display for the driver, an air quality management system, electrically adjustable second-row seats, an electric tailgate, fast charging ports at the second and third rows, customisable ambient LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

The base âLuxuryâ variant gets the front-wheel drive system, which gets three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. Meanwhile, the âPremiumâ and âFlagshipâ variants get an all-wheel drive that gets four terrain modes: Mud, Sand, Snow, and Offroad.
