Renault Bridger: Everything we know so far

Renault has unveiled its latest concept vehicle that is set to take the mass market SUVs by storm. Badged as Renault Bridger, this new compact SUV is slated to be positioned below the Duster SUV worldwide.

Renault has revealed the exterior design of the Bidger, and it certainly looks interesting. The SUV boasts a proper boxy design with masculine highlights such as the wide shoulder lines, flared wheel arches, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel.

Giving it a touch of modernity are the sharp LED headlights with C-shaped DRLs, a piano black grille with a recessed bumper that has air intakes and a silver bash plate. Similarly, the back of the Birdger has a vertical design with sharp diagonal LED lights and a rugged bumper.

The Bridger concept rides on 18-inch dual-tone wheels and has a ground clearance of 200 mm. Renault claims that it also gets 200 mm of rear legroom, and it will become the most spacious vehicle in its category upon launch.

While the interior details are slated to be revealed later, we can safely say that it will offer a spacious cabin for five passengers, along with a practical boot space. Meanwhile, it will come loaded with advanced features like ADAS safety and wireless connectivity.

Engine specs of the Renault Bridger

Renault has revealed that it is based on the R-GMP platform, which is also shared with the new-gen Duster. This platform allows it to be powered by various powertrains, including petrol, bi-fuel, hybrid, and electric.

When will it launch?

Renault has revealed that it will launch the Bridger by the end of 2027. It will be launched in India initially, and then it will be launched in the other countries. Renault Bridger will be 100% manufactured in India and exported worldwide.

We expect it to launch in the UAE by 2028, and it will rival the Jetour T2 SUV head-on.
