Kia’s new-gen Seltos has been unveiled in the global market based on an all-new K3 platform. Due to the new platform, the new Seltos is now longer and wider, as it measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height.

Additionally, the exterior design of the new Seltos is based on the ‘Opposites United’ philosophy. It features a new front fascia with the vertical LED DRLs, a big grille with vertical slats, and big body claddings. The side profile features a straight roofline with integrated roof rails, flush door handles, and new 18-inch dual-tone alloys.

The rear profile of the new SUV is dominated by a roof-integrated spoiler that also holds the wiper and washer, a connected LED taillight, and a vertical tailgate. Speaking of the boot, it gets a massive 539 litres of cargo space, which is a huge improvement over the previous car.

With the new platform and the bigger size, Kia has also used a stronger construction for the chassis to offer improved safety. In addition to the better materials, the new Seltos also gets new autonomous safety features.

On the inside, the new Seltos features a cabin design inspired by the new Kia Telluride. It gets a connected triple screen display, a new dual-tone leather theme, a new three-spoke steering wheel, and new features.

Powering the new-gen Seltos are various engine options. For the global markets, including the UAE, the new Seltos now gets a 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine that is offered in two states of tune - 180 PS/265 Nm and 193 PS/265 Nm.

Meanwhile, there is a new 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that offers rather modest performance. It develops 149 PS/179 Nm. All of the above engine options are available with a 6-speed MT, a 7-speed DCT, and an 8-speed AT transmission.

Kia has also revealed that the global-spec Seltos will get an AWD, which is expected to be offered in the UAE too. Additionally, the brand has confirmed that the Seltos Hybrid is under development, and it is scheduled to debut in 2027 globally.

The new-gen Seltos will go on sale internationally and in the UAE next year. We suspect that it will be launched in Dubai and the Middle East by mid-2026.

Due to its bigger size and powerful engine options, the new Seltos is expected to be priced higher than the current model, which is priced AED 80,850 to AED 101,500.
